The K-12 Assessment Program is responsible for all aspects of CNMI PSS K-12 statewide student assessments, including developing, administering, scoring, and reporting of the results for assessments aligned to the CNMI PSS standards and benchmarks (SBA: Standards-based Assessment), as well as assisting with the implementation and reporting of several other student assessment programs administered online. Services are provided both by CNMI PSS staff and through various contracts with assessment vendors. The primary goal of these assessments is to provide information about student learning in CNMI public schools, as required by CNMI PSS Accountability System.
