School Quality Factors (SQF) Planning Tool

School teams use the School Quality Factors (SQF) Planning Tool to organize and focus their reflections on their ongoing improvement journey. As a school utilizes the SQF for the first time, staff members are encouraged to become familiar with the SQF through a review of the factors and questions within the SQF. A review of the SQF will assist the school in determining the necessary information and data analysis that will enable engagement in a data driven processes and assessment of the school’s current reality. This analysis and reflection will guide the identification of strengths and areas of need that provide the necessary data for successful improvement planning. This planning tool is designed to assist schools’ in thinking about the data and information needed to guide the improvement journey.

The School Leadership Team gather to fill out the School Quality Factors Planning Tool. The outcome of the SQF Diagnostic and data analysis shall be reflected on the School Quality Factors Planning Tool. The planning tool reflects what data/information available, quality of information to make meaningful decisions about each factor, data/information needed in order to make meaningful decisions about each factor, and actions to take will be imbedded in the School-Wide Improvement Plan.
