Accreditation

The CNMI PSS Accreditation approach through AdvancED validates its effectiveness in the continuous school improvement based on Standards Diagnostic Results, Continuous Improvement System, Effective Learning Environments Observation Tool (eleot) results, School Assurances, Climate and Culture Surveys, and Index of Education Quality (IEQ).

On October 12-18, 2018, AdvancED Engagement Review Team visited all 20 schools and Early Learning Program (Early Head Start and Head Start).  During the week long review, the Team members interviewed 163 students, 41 Parents/Community and Business Stakeholders, 254 Instructional Staff, 43 Administrators, 1 Superintendent, and 4 Governing Board.

On February 16, 2019, the AdvancED Global Commission granted PSS and its Schools another five year accreditation status valid through June 30, 2024 through the North Central Association on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).  (Please see the AdvancED Engagement Review Report.)

Most recently, AdvancED merged with Measured Progress and is now called Cognia.  Please see https://www.cognia.org/ for more information.
